Oil hits record above $94

Oil hit a new record above $94 a barrel on Wednesday after an unexpected fall in US crude inventories fuelled expectations that prices will reach the key $100 level.

Meanwhile gold moved closer to the key $800 level amid expectations for further weakness in the dollar after the Federal Reserve cut US interest rates and expressed concerns about the outlook for growth.
