Fresh militant attack on Nigerian oil fields

The main militant group operating in Nigeria’s oil-producing delta region on Tuesday launched its most damaging attack since last month’s presidential elections, halting up to 150,000 barrels per day of exports.

The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta said it had bombed a series of pipelines to an oil export terminal, with industry sources reporting a cut in supplies to the Brass facility operated by Italian oil group Eni.
