Cost controls the focus as Aegis cuts 780 jobs

Aegis is to cut 780 jobs across 40 countries as John Napier, chairman and interim chief executive, seeks to improve cost control at the media buying and market research company.

Announcing annual results helped by currency movements, Mr Napier denied reports that he was conducting a strategic review of the business.
