DP World surges on debut

Shares of Dubai Ports World rose as much as 10.8 per cent on their trading debut on Monday after the world’s fourth-largest container port handler raised almost $5bn in an initial public offering.

The stock rose to as high as $1.44 on the Dubai International Financial Exchange, compared with the initial public offering price of $1.30.
