Aluminium leads base metals rally

Fresh evidence of industrial demand in China for commodities underlined why so many metals are challenging multi-year price highs.

China reported a rise of 27.9 per cent in crude steel production last year to 348m tonnes. It is targeting an increase of 27.7 per cent in steel capacity to 600m tonnes per annum over the next few years.
