Sky is clear as HD growth boosts Q3 results

The recession is keeping budget-conscious UK consumers indoors, where they seem to want their entertainment provided in high definition, according to figures released by British Sky Broadcasting.

The satellite broadcaster reported on Thursday net additions of 243,000 for its HD service for the third quarter, helping revenues to rise 7 per cent after exceptional costs.
