Most sectors in most parts of the US are now seeing either stabilisation or growth, but the rebound remains weak, the Federal Reserve “beige book” survey reported on Wednesday.

“Reports of gains in economic activity generally outnumber declines,” the Fed reported. “But virtually every reference to improvement was qualified as either small or scattered.”
