Dutch mayor sounds warning on intolerance

Fear and suspicion among ethnic groups in the Netherlands are at a postwar peak, according to Job Cohen. Amsterdam’s leftwing mayor blames Geert Wilders, the anti-immigration MP, for fuelling the tension.

In a country that has seen two political murders linked to Muslim immigration since 2001, the warning is a stark one.
