Nasdaq retreat marks triumph for Furse

Having been a bid target for three years, the London Stock Exchange appears finally to have cemented a future among the ranks of consolidators.

Yesterday, Nasdaq put its 31 per cent stake in the LSE up for sale, arguing that the market has never given it proper credit for the stake's value.
