Eurozone poll points to easier credit

Eurozone banks will start easing credit conditions for businesses in the final months of this year, according to a closely watched European Central Bank poll, which also highlighted swelling demand in the 16-country region for loans to buy houses.

The latest ECB bank lending survey added to evidence that supply constraints on lending have reached a turning point and could boost hopes they will be less of a brake on economic activity than feared.
