S Korea strikes deal on US beef imports

South Korea could resume imports of US beef as soon as this week, after the two countries reached an agreement over the weekend that would see American meat shipments limited following a health scare in Korea.

The deal, however, could face political resistance in Washington and could continue to be a drag on the countries’ trade agreement, which is still awaiting ratification in both capitals.
