Weak dollar lift for US exporters

The weak dollar helped lift US exports to a fresh record and reduced America's trade deficit with the rest of the world to a 28-month low, official figures showed yesterday, writes Eoin Callan .

The trade gap narrowed in September by 0.6 per cent to $56.5bn as exports rose more quickly than imports.
