In the past six years, the mail systems pioneer Pitney Bowes has acquired more than 65 companies, all on the watch of Michael Critelli, chief executive at the time and now executive chairman.
He has been systematically refocusing the business, transforming it from the collection of diverse businesses he found when he joined the legal department 28 years ago. His goal is to make the Connecticut-based group a leader in the “mailstream” marketplace – everything connected with the creation and distribution of letters and packages.
