SFO under fire after case against drug groups fails

Five drug companies accused of ripping off the National Health Service by overcharging for generic medicines look set to escape criminal prosecution after a judge threw out the charges against them.

Yesterday's collapse of the £25m investigation is an-other blow for the Serious Fraud Office, which has been pursuing the case for more than eight years.
