French-Dutch airports hub deal

Two of Europe’s biggest airport operators, Aéroports de Paris and Amsterdam-based Schiphol, are forging an alliance to cut costs and expand internationally, mirroring the merger of flag carriers Air France and KLM.

The two airport groups yesterday announced plans to swap 8 per cent stakes as part of an accord they hope will help to reduce combined costs by €71m ($93.1m) a year from 2013.
