Belgium and GDF Suez agree partial tax truce

A partial truce was declared on Thursday in the battle between GDF Suez and the Belgian government over a proposed nuclear tax to help restore state finances.

Herman Van Rompuy, the Belgium prime minister, announced that the French utility had agreed to pay as much €915m ($1.4bn) over the five years to 2014.
