Google boost to Tories’ profile

David Cameron is due to claim on Monday that the Conservatives are commanding international respect under his leadership with Eric Schmidt, chairman and chief executive of Google, set to make a keynote speech to the party conference on Tuesday.

Following his first speech to the Tories as party leader on Sunday, Mr Cameron, 39, is to welcome Mr Schmidt to Bournemouth, where he will address the conference on challenges posed by the internet and digital age.
