Renewable energy stocks were lifted on Monday by better-than-expected quarterly results from Chinese solar components maker LDK Solar.

Norway’s Renewable Energy Corp was one of the day’s biggest risers, gaining 6.8 per cent to NKr36.20. German solar power groups Solarworld and Phoenix Solar added 3.6 per cent to €14.90 and 3.9 per cent to €35.50 respectively. Analysts at West LB upgraded the latter from “neutral” to “add”.
