Impact of changes closely watched in Northern Ireland

The impact of the Common Agricultural Policy reforms will be keenly watched in Northern Ireland, which is more dependent on farming than the rest of the UK.

Farming is vital to its economy, accounting for 6-8 per cent of the economic activity compared with about 1 per cent for England and Wales.
