YRC truckers accept 10% pay cut

Members of the Teamsters union at YRC Worldwide, North America’s biggest truck operator, have voted overwhelmingly to accept a 10 per cent pay cut as part of the Kansas-based company’s drive to bring down costs and sharpen its competitive edge.

In return, YRC’s 40,000 unionised workers will receive a 15 per cent equity stake.
