Slow progress at farm trade talks

The EU and US made limited progress in reaching agreement to cut farm tariffs and subsidies on Friday, at the latest in a series of meetings under the slow-moving Doha round of trade talks.

Meeting ministers from India and China in Paris, European and US officials said they continued to discuss putting numbers into a broad tariff-cutting formula, but remained a long way from agreement.
