MIDDLE EAST As Benjamin Netanyahu heads to the White House on Monday for his first meeting with Barack Obama, both leaders must be hoping that history is not about to repeat itself.
During his first stint as Israeli prime minister, between 1996 and 1999, Mr Netanyahu developed a famously bad relationship with President Bill Clinton – a period now remembered in both Israel and the US as a low point in the decades-old alliance between the two nations.
