Women’s rugby breaking through

The country’s female cricket team raised the bar for women’s sport in England last year, succeeding where the men have often failed: they won the World Twenty20 tournament at Lord’s.

England’s female rugby players will aim to match this achievement – and repeat their victory of 16 years ago – when they host the sixth Women’s Rugby World Cup this autumn.
