Upline Group seeks Moroccan listing

It was a chance phone call that led to the establishment of Upline Group, now a leading Moroccan investment bank, according to Jalal Houti, the managing director and one of the founders.

As the only English speaker at a BNP Paribas subsidiary in Morocco, he was the one who dealt with telephone queries in English. One day the switchboard put through a call from a foreigner who traded Moroccan debt.
