Generation Investment Management, co-founded by Al Gore, the former US vice president and Nobel Prize-winning environmental campaigner, has joined forces with Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch & Cie to promote sustainable investment.

The venerable 211-year-old Swiss private bank will become three-year-old Generation’s sole continental European distribution partner for its global equity strategy. The distribution deal involves the joint launch of a new investment vehicle for private and institutional investors, based on 30-50 companies worldwide that Generation believes have the potential to create long-term value.
