In the aftermath of Iran’s decision to free 15 British detainees, the Financial Times spoke to Rasoul Movahedian, Tehran’s ambassador to the UK, in his first interview since the crisis began.
He sought to emphasis the possibility for further diplomatic breakthroughs between Iran and the UK - although British prime minister Tony Blair subsequently responded to the killing of four British soldiers in Iraq by accusing Iranian “elements” of backing terrorism in that country.
