Rapid regeneration bridges troubled waters

For the past year and a half, Argentine environmental protesters have been trying to stop the development of a new factory at Fray Bentos on the Uruguayan side of the river that divides the two countries.

But the $1.2bn complex, which represents the country’s biggest ever foreign investment, is slowly taking shape and is expected to begin transforming locally grown timber into paper and pulp in a few months time.
