Mexico and US dispute warnings

A disagreement between senior US and Mexican officials over the safety of US travellers in northern Mexico has escalated into a diplomatic dispute.

Tony Garza, US ambassador to Mexico, complained to Mexican officials this week that a resurgence of drug-related violence in the north of the country was endangering US visitors.
