Price comparison website vows to increase efficiency

Moneysupermarket.com’s new chief executive has pledged to cut marketing costs and increase efficiency as he warned of declining profitability at the price comparison website.

Peter Plumb, who took over as chief executive yesterday after Simon Nixon, Moneysupermarket’s founder, stood aside in December, said the “theme for 2009 [is] how do we make sure we are smart with our marketing?”.
