Revenue from Balfour Beatty’s overseas operations are expected to overtake that from the UK within the next three years, returning the group to its global roots, according to Ian Tyler, chief executive.
The company said its US arm, which accounted for just 13 per cent of turnover in 2006, will soon grow to match its UK operation as state budgets recover and stimulus money works its way to construction sites.
