Ford head welcomes Kerkorian investment

The head of the Ford family on Thursday welcomed a recent investment by Kirk Kerkorian, the reclusive billionaire, in the 105-year-old Detroit carmaker controlled by Henry Ford’s descendants.

Speaking at Ford Motor’s annual meeting in Wilmington, Delaware, Bill Ford, chairman, thanked Tracinda, Mr Kerkorian’s holding company, “for their confidence in our plan”.
