Cost of private medical cover could fall

The cost of private medical cover for cancer may fall after the government this week pledged to make more expensive treatments available on the NHS.

Brokers say that cancer and heart treatment claims are often the costliest for insurers and the government pledge to widen availability of cancer therapies could lower premiums.
