Ghana in negotiations to buy Kosmos

Ghana’s national oil company says it intends to buy Kosmos and develop its stake in the country’s Jubilee oil field together with a foreign oil company.

This pits Ghana National Petroleum Corporation against Kosmos, and ExxonMobil, the world’s largest western oil company, which have already signed a binding sales agreement worth $4bn (£2.5bn).
