Timeline of corporate fraud scandals

Société Générale has incurred the greatest losses ever from corporate scandals in the latest of a series, many of which involved ‘rogue traders’:

1995: Barings Bank collapsed in1995 after revealing losses of £827m, largely attributed to futures contract speculation and fudged financial records by trader Nick Leeson.
