Aid workers strain to enter Gaza

As each plane flew overhead, everyone at the Rafah border post – the doctors, the journalists, the Egyptians with trucks laden with medicine and food, the dozens of local children attracted to this circus on the border – stopped to crane their necks.

Would this Israeli plane drop only the white-smoke-trailing anti-aircraft flares, just to keep the residents of southern Gaza on edge, or was this run the precursor to another attack?
