Drinking, fighting and shouting: W., the hotly anticipated Oliver Stone biopic of US president George W. Bush, has it all judging by the promotional trailer released this week. The film, due for release in September, is a first for Hollywood in that it portrays a sitting president, albeit one counting the days until he can flee the White House for Texas.

The trailer shows a youthful George being berated by his father, falling foul of the law and drunkenly driving a car into a house. James Cromwell, the creepy police captain in LA Confidential, plays Bush the elder. “Who do you think you are?” he shouts at his disgraced son in one scene. “A Kennedy? You’re a Bush. Act like one!”
