TomTom moves to reassure over its debt

TomTom, the Dutch maker of satellite navigation devices, sought on Monday to reassure investors about its debt after the completion last month of its acquisition of digital mapmaker Tele Atlas.

The firm’s share price, which has dropped 61 per cent over the past year, has been pressured in recent months by speculation that the debts it incurred to fund the €2.9bn acquisition were stretching loan covenants.
