Storage: Surely we can squeeze a bit more in somewhere

Computer storage is a topic replete with impenetrable acronyms and unimaginably large numbers, such as exabyte, zettabyte and yottabyte, the last representing a one followed by 24 zeros.

But for those involved in capturing, storing and managing the mountain of digital information the problem can be expressed in one scary sentence: “It’s growing exponentially.”
