‘Failure’ is in how defence budget is being prioritised

Sir, The last thing our “dysfunctional” defence procurement process needs is more cash (“Infighting and budget constraints shackle armed forces”, August 20). The failure of leadership is not about the amount of money being made available – Britain is still the second-largest spender on military equipment in the world – but how that money is spent.
