Mantorras: Every goal is a memorial to his parents

Four years ago, Pedro Mantorras was the hottest thing in Portuguese football, and people spoke of redemption for a player orphaned during the Angolan civil war.

After just 23 games, though, he suffered a knee injury, and he has hardly been off the operating table since. Representing Angola at the World Cup could prove a glorious return, but it could easily be another crushing disappointment for a player who has already endured so much.
