The importance of fast-growing new businesses has been highlighted in an international report which found that just under 10 per cent of the world's entrepreneurs expect to create almost 75 per cent of jobs in start-up ventures.
The findings were published yesterday by the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, an international research consortium led by London Business School and Babson College in the US, after analysing 505,000 survey responses from 44 countries over five years.
