How we judged the ministers

The Financial Times’ guide to eurozone finance ministers assesses the sort of things they might be expected to do – such as controlling public finances and making the tax system competitive, thus boosting prosperity.

According to five economic tests, ministers are judged not just on the size of the public sector deficit or surplus, but the progress made in reducing deficits over five years.
