IMF warns China on boom-bust

China needs to tighten monetary policy to prevent the emergence of a boom-bust economic cycle, the International Monetary Fund said on Monday.

The IMF also pressed China to allow further currency appreciation, saying it would help the authorities stop the domestic economy from overheating.
