Perkier ITV shakes ad sales

Television advertising sales houses are preparing to combine as the industry, already under pressure from falling marketing budgets, looks to build scale against a resurgent ITV.

Talks between Channel 4 and BSkyB to merge their sales units are among the more advanced stages of what people familiar with the industry called “multilateral discussions” between several players in the British TV market.
