Ryanair is planning to abolish conventional check-in facilities at airports across its European network by early next year, forcing all passengers to check in online before leaving their homes or offices.
Michael O’Leary said the next phase of the group’s low-cost air travel revolution would be put in place at Stansted and Dublin airports, its biggest and most expensive bases, by the end of the year, with other airports due to follow in early 2010.
