Consumer confidence rises in Asia and Brazil

Asia and Brazil are leading a rebound in global consumer confidence, underscoring a divergence in sentiment between developing and developed countries, according to data from market researchers.

Some 26 per cent of people across the world believe their countries will be out of recession within 12 months, compared with 19 per cent in October, according to Nielsen, the market research group.
