Stop-start results for stay-at-home Go-Ahead

Passenger growth on its rail services in southern England lifted sales at Go-Ahead, the transport company, in the year to June 30, even as its aviation division slipped into losses.

Group pre-tax profits rose from £83.6m last year to £94.8m, on revenues that rose from £1.46bn to £1.83bn.
