US concerns over BAE bribe claims revived

The US Congress is renewing its scrutiny of BAE Systems in the wake of allegations that the British defence company bribed a former Saudi ambassador to Washington to secure valuable defence contracts.

The Justice Department is also considering whether it should open a full-blown probe into whether BAE has violated US anti-bribery laws in relation to its international arms deals.
