Royal Mail ‘disappointed’ by union offer

Postal workers are threatening national strikes from October 22 unless Royal Mail agrees to a last-ditch deal on jobs, pay and working conditions.

The Communication Workers Union wrote to the state-owned postal operator on Tuesday offering what it claimed was a “genuine alternative” to resolve the long-running dispute, but said it would have no option but to strike if talks failed.
