Definition on Lehman client money sought

The administrators of Lehman’s European operations on Monday went to the High Court in London to seek guidance about how client money held in the collapsed investment bank should be handled.

The court case, which will last for several weeks, centres around a pool of client money, which could be as much as $2bn, held at Lehman Brothers International Europe and the treatment of the money before the bank became insolvent last year.
